In December, Hillingdon Council successfully got a High Court injunction to prohibit the use of land in Harlington for parking and storing vehicles. Responding to complaints from residents, the Council’s enforcement team found the site in the Green Belt was housing over 300 vehicles. Gravel had been laid, and there were illegal structures on the site.

Residents said the use of the site for parking and storing cars had a massive detrimental impact on the area. Flats for Harefield Road

Hillingdon Council gave planning permission in January for a redevelopment in Uxbridge. The plan is to demolish the existing house at 72 Harefield Road. It will be replaced by a new four storey block of nine flats. They will be a mix of one, two, and three bed. The Council will allocate the flats to residents on their housing list with the highest priority. So, they will go to the people who will benefit the most. Crucially, the deal means the local authority has added 185 new council homes to their stock in 2024/2025.
